Le documentaire vidéo Making our Place explore le rapport des jeunes migrantes rurales aux espaces publics urbains de Hanoï et leur relation au monde urbain. Produit par Danielle Labbé, professeure agrégée École d'urbanisme et d'architecture de paysage, en collaboration avec l’ONG HealthBridge Vietnam et le Musée de la femme vietnamienne, le documentaire a reçu le 'Best Next Gen Film Award' décerné lors de l’édition 2020 du Better Cities Film Festival. Ce court film a été produit dans le cadre du projet de recherche TRYSPACES : Transformative Youth Spaces.
Danielle Labbé présentera le contexte de réalisation du documentaire, sa réception une fois projeté et la façon dont ce documentaire est depuis mobilisé par les acteurs locaux. Une période de question suivra la projection du film.

The Research Center for the Future of Cities is pleased to announce the conference of Danielle Labbé in partnership with CAM/MAC.
The video documentary Making our Place explores the relationship of young rural migrant women to urban public spaces in Hanoi and their relationship to the urban world in general. Produced by Danielle Labbé, Associate Professor School of Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture, in collaboration with the NGO HealthBridge Vietnam and the Vietnamese Women's Museum, the documentary received the 'Best Next Gen Film Award' at the 2020 Better Cities Film Festival. This short film was produced as part of the research project TRYSPACES: Transformative Youth Spaces.
Danielle Labbé will present the context in which the documentary was made, how it was received once it was screened and how it has since been mobilized by local actors. A question period will follow the screening of the film.
